2008 Exhibitions

The gallery presents a number of Special Exhibitions each year, which concentrate on the work of a particular artist or artists, complemented by various themed shows presenting a particular subject or period. Between these shows we hold Mixed Exhibitions that are constantly changing as new works become available.

16th January to 2nd February
Charity Private View in aid of Rotary Club of Bookham and Horsley and their chosen charity "Princess Alice Hospice".
The Princess Alice Hospice is based in Esher, Surrey. They provide specialist palliative care services for patients in South West London and most of Surrey. They aim to control pain and other symptoms and to provide support to patients and their families according to their individual needs. We are pleased to donate 50% of the gallery commission on the private view night to
Rotary Club of Bookham and Horsley and their chosen charity "Princess Alice Hospice". The exhibition will feature works by our gallery artists.

4th June to 21st June
Works by Past Members of the Wapping Group of Artists
We have been proud to exhibit works from the current Wapping Group of Artists and have been collecting works from "Wappers" of the past. This is a chance to see some of their work and to see how the Thames has changed over the years, although the exhibition will not be restricted to Thames-side pictures.

13th February to 1st March
Sale of 19th & 20th Early Century Works

Again we would like you to get the benefit of our need to clear some space for additional works and we would rather you benefited that we pay the commission to an auction house.

 2nd July to 26th July
The Summer Exhibition

An additional event to the Great British Summer Season. "The Summer Exhibition at Lincoln Joyce Fine Art". It will not be televised or the subject of a TV reality show "art competition" but it will put us all in the mood for our holidays.

12th March to 29th March
"The Travelling Palette"

An Exhibition favourite with everyone. The gallery is proud to present works from the gallery artists along with some works from the 19th & early 20th Century. We all have favourite places we have visited. This exhibition will provide our artists with an opportunity to show their special selection of places that they have travelled and loved to paint.

10th to 27th September
Charity Private View in aid of Mid Surrey Crossroads
Mid Surrey Crossroads provide support to carers in the community and they provide many hours of respite care in the home. They run Funtastic, a Saturday Club for children and although funded by the local authority and health service they do rely on other support to help maintain their services. These are an essential to help those unsung and usually neglected heroes who have to care for their sick and dependent relatives. Their aim is to help relieve the stress of caring by enabling the carer to have some time for themselves. We are pleased to donate 50% of the gallery commission on the private view night to the charity. Featuring works by our gallery artists together with paintings from the 19th and early 20th century.

9th April -26th April
"Light Fantastic"

Not, that well known, if now dated dance. This will be an exhibition of light at its most fantastic. It is one of the most important elements in any picture. These pictures will help to lift our spirits as we come out of Winter into Spring.

8th October to 25th October
"Inside looking Out"

This exhibition will give our gallery artists the opportunity to paint interiors, views from windows whatever the subject inspires.

What is that all about? It can be anything that entertains us, the circus, concerts, jazz festivals, the ballet, regattas, theatres, opera, football, cricket, even air-shows and anything with connections to these, the list is endless.
